This Sunday at your February farmers market

Fresh from the success of the Twilight market, we put our brightest minds together over the new year to put in place a plan to bounce into 2017 with a new and improved farmers market.

Firstly, we have a new start/finish time so the market will run from 8.30am to 12.30pm every month from now on. Still at Riverside Park.

New year, new and improved market

Well it's not so much new but we hope it's very much improved. We've got more stallholders offering a wider range of fresh regional produce, more live entertainment, more things for the kids to do and new community groups collecting voluntary gold coin donations on the gate to go towards their projects!

We've got a new market manager (Nicole Roda) starting Sunday and every $10 spent at the market gets you a ticket into the raffle to win a magnificent hamper of stallholder produce and goodies!

Leit's Black Pearl Wagyu was a popular stall at the Twilight Market.

50% more stallholders in February!

We've had a great uptake from stallholders who have confirmed their attendance, including a few newbies, bringing us up to around 26-27 stallholders for Sunday:

  • O'Neill's Orchards (Stonefruit)
  • Kingfisher Citrus
  • La Dolce Vita bakery
  • Long Lake Produce (Potatoes)
  • Narrung Dorper Saltbush Lamb
  • Quincey Jones Jelly
  • Ravens Haven Dried Fruit (Apricots & Peaches)
  • Restdown Wines
  • Sunrise Rotary (BBQ breakfast)
  • Sweet Sister (Cakes, quiches...)
  • Tomatoes
  • Turner's donuts
  • 12 Good Eggs
  • Alkira Organics (vegetables)
  • Arahura Farms (Vegetables)
  • Barrow Olives (Olive Oil and Olives)
  • (NEW!) Blue Wren (biscuits)
  • Bundarra Berkshire (Pork)
  • Callipari Wines
  • Coopers Handmade Pies
  • (NEW!) Danny Gleeson (Garlic)
  • Ems Pickled Onions
  • Fruitilizcious (Fruit Leathers)
  • Jilarty Cafe (coffee / icecream)

Family-friendly farmers market

We are increasing the number of tables and chairs at the market to allow more people to sit and enjoy a coffee, cake, juice or breakfast with family and friends. It also means more opportunities for parents to relax while their kids paint at dedicated tables.

This month's community partner on the gate

When you approach the market on Sunday you will be invited to make a voluntary gold coin donation to the community group manning the entry points. This month's group is the Swan Hill Speedway Social Club and they are raising money to maintain the cars for their junior club members!

Live music to set a great ambiance

William and Mitchell Barkman return to provide the tunes at Sunday's farmers market. The boys created a great ambience at last April's market - have a quick listen!

We're looking forward to seeing you at Riverside Park from 8.30am!
